Good Morning

Since today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day I don't have to work today. I'm not doing much. In fact I was supposed to go to a Barbeque at Logan's place (A double wide trailer, if you didn't know), but his plans were cancelled for some reason he has yet to reveal to me. So I'm at my apartment watching The Great Chinese Dam on PBS. Yes, I'm that bored.
 Yum.

Oh, I forgot to mention this!
There was a rap battle at the park, and I brought Big L. I think I kind of pissed of Swaggy Joe (Who was rapping when I got there). Everyone stopped listening to his raps and started to look at Big L. The name is a hit!

So I finished that book. It ended with the worst cliffhanger ever. So all of the fighters were dead except Johnnie Jones. He is fighting a robot gorilla thing, and he falls off of a cliff. There shouldn't have been any cliffs in that area...
But, yeah, he is falling, and he hits water, and some how survives the fall and the evil Gorilla robot's master yells "I'll get you Johnnie Jones! Bwah-ha-ha!"

Yeah. Stupid. So I bought the first book in the series. It is called Surviving the Sahara.

Never Trust a Book you buy at...

What's up? A lot is up with Grandmaster Spaghetti and Dah' Bittah' Magician. They are working on a new song. They are arguing about what to name it. I'm gonna stay out of this. Soo...
Did you know? Zambia is the worlds 5th largest producer of Copper.

I recently read a novel about a bunch of tough evil-people-ass-kicking soldiers entitled Mega-Battle #12: Operation Africa. The cover looked cool so I bought it for 25 cents at Super City Thrift Store. 3 pages into it I realized what a piece of crap it was. I honestly don't know how there could be 11 other ones. Yet, I kept reading this work of human failure. On page 146, I noticed a flaw. Right after all-American Johnnie Jones somehow survives 3 direct chest hits, a grenade, and 15-minute exposure to mustard gas he is running through the forests of Liberia, he mentions to his wounded comrade, Steve His-last-name-is-never-mentioned, that the border with Zambia is near by. ZAMBIA! YOU FREAKING MORON. Zambia is at least 2,800 Miles away! That made me very angry.

It gets worse, apparently someone made a film out of it. I'll watch it when I finish the novel. Only 30 pages to go!
Stay Ninja!

Nothing

Hey! Guess what? Not much is happin' but I feel like typing.
Sooo...Zambia!
Fun Fact: One mushroom native to Zambia grows nearly a yard in diameter, making it the world’s largest.
I thought that was neat. Oh, and donations are down. By a lot. Share our message with others to help poor Zambians.

This is an African Elephant. Many can be found in Zambia.

A picture Grandmaster Spaghetti took a few months ago. He had forgotten about it, but I like it. But, anyways...It is so cold here.  Not horrible, but still way to cold for me. But I've forgotten how cold it can get in my old home in Helena, Montana. This is what it looks like there.

Blizzards. I don't miss them. Oh, crank it up! I'm listening to "NY Rate of Crime". I love this song. It is so deep.

Bittersweet

Hey guys! News, both good and back. First, Big L is doing great. Look at him looking so fierce.

Next, Grandmaster Spaghetti and Dah' Bittah' Magician are doing great. They received the G-Dep award. I'm so sad that I wasn't there, but there is nothing I can do.

This is the award. However, they lost the  N.Y.C. Underground Rap End of the Year Single Award to the  The Sexy Raisins' single "Camouflage". Oh, and more about the Sexy Raisins. City Night's Studios also is producing an new album entitled "Supreme". The Sexy Raisins have given a release date in late May. Three song names have been given. "Sky is the Limit (Feat. Bone Crusher)", "Sexy Chicken", and "The Message is Equality".  The album cover has not been realeased, but I'm still excited. I'll try to keep you all posted on the progress.
Oh, and NY King won the City Hip Hop award. No surprise there.
A scary thought to end the blog post with.
But not just yet...
Fun Fact:Zambian military helped the Allies in WW2 by fighting in Burma.
Bye!

Logan's Famous Bacon Wrapped Turducken. (A Turkey stuffed with a duck that is stuffed with a chicken.) Delicious!
Fresh Cornbread
Potato Soup
Crabcakes (not exactly traditional...)
Apple Pie!

Last Night we set off some awesome fireworks. I just love blowing stuff up. It's so 'Murikan, and the holidays just don't feel the same with out explosions! :)
Zambia Fun Fact: Zambia's Independence Day is on October 24.
I thought that fact was cool.

Speaking of Zambia...donations are down sadly, so please keep giving!
I just got a call from Da' Bittah' Magician! She will be back tomorrow.

Everyone is excited that the Hit single "N.Y. Rate of Crime" has been nominated for a N.Y.C. Underground Rap Award for end of the year singles. It has also been nominated for G-Dep Award for Excellence in Rappin'. The completion for each is tough. For the Underground Rap Award we are up against The Sexy Raisins' single "Camouflage", the Bad Boyz of Staten Island's "Rap n' Roll", and the Feverous 5's "Gangstah' in Da' Hood!". We don't know who else has been nominated for the G-Dep Award, because they only release the names of the nominees one at a time, over a period of 10 days. Grandmaster Spaghetti and Da' Bittah' Magician are the first to be named.

This is a picture of the coveted N.Y.C. Underground Rap End of the Year Single Award Trophy! The Award ceremony will be at Semaj James' Bar, the 14th Street Baldies. It will be on January 13th at 4:00 Pm- 7:00 Pm. Bring yo' Swag with you! Tickets are $3 a person and they go fast. Book online at The bar's brand new website. Grandmaster Spaghetti and the Dah' Bittah Magician's award time should be at about 6:45.

The G-Dep Awards are held on January 10th form 9:00- 11:00 Pm just outside of Rick's Bar's back employee entrance. It is free, but the seating is limited. Grandmaster Spaghetti and Dah' Bittah' Magician's award will be the first. No outside food or beverages, only items purchased at Rick's Bar can be brought past the chain link fence.

This is where the G-Dep awards will be held. I sadly won't be able to come due to a change in work shifts at the Denny's I work at. :(
Oh, and some more bad news...the Studios that are producing Keepin' It Fresh have pushed back the release date to sometime in early February.

This is a picture that Dah' Bittah Magician sent me from her family's house in Westwego.

 Happy New Year! Sincerely,
                                                                    Michael Benton.
